Having a killer demonstration of your live performance can land you gigs, get you immediate fan recognition, and gain the interest of labels and agents faster than anything else. If you have a great live show than you have a true product. It is your chance to prove that you are the real deal.
Just having some footage up that one of your friends shot with his camcorder can hurt your image more than help. The sound is overdriven and distorted making your lyrics and riffs turn to mud. Having only a single angle gives no movement to your performance making your band look stagnate on stage. Having such a low budget example of what your band is, often times only makes you look amateur.
Put a TV or laptop on your merch table with headphones, playing your professionally filmed and edited DVD. It will help you sell more DVD’s. Also, people passing by the table will be more inclined to stick around and catch your act by the energy they are already seeing displayed from your video. Put a couple of the songs up online and add your DVD to your press pack.

RoughCut is only responsible for the filming and editing of the performance. It is necessary to capture an audio board mix that can be lined up with the edited footage. Depending on the circumstances some venues offer the audio capture for free or a small fee of $30 to $40 .FLOYD’S MUSIC STORE in Tallahassee Florida currently charges $35 for an audio CD of the board mix from your performance. RoughCut will still provide additional equalizing and tweaking to the audio provided to create truly live sound.

This is where we create a scripted music video to sync up with one of your studio tracks off your album or ep. Increase the sales of your CD by releasing a single that has a real music video. Plain and simply, this is another pallet for your music to be be enhanced and reach a new level. A real music video sets a tone that your band is no side project and is a serious act. Plus they are a blast to make.

It is very similar to going to a recording studio in the respect that the more time we spend on it the more bells and whistles it will have. A video that incorporates two filming locations can usually be pulled off in 3 to 4 days.
